| This wall piece is a gourd covered in upcycled bottle caps and gourd shards. Upcycled pull tabs surround the stem to form the berry's green cap. I love the industrial/organic dichotomy of the berry. All the bottle caps are painted over with acrylic except for a ring of caps around the upper part of the berry. Each uncovered cap is from a Mexican beer or soda. The berry is approximately 15 inches long including the stem, 26 inches around the widest part, approximately 8 inches across the widest part. I keep things simple. There's a discreet hole drilled in the back of the berry. To hang the berry on the wall, drive a nail or screw into the wall, line the hole up over the nail head and it's done. Once the gourd is up, ambient light will play upon it and create lovely shadows around the piece, adding a little snap to the unusual contemporary aspect of the berry. | Here are four unique digital prints of some of the little details that are all around us. The photos are tastefully framed in a 24.5” high x 20” wide vintage window frame with premium 7” high x 5” wide double layer acid-free matting. The upcycled frame is from the Catskills area of upstate New York. A metal picture hanger is attached to the top of the back of the window frame so it is ready to hang. Note that all four glass panes are present in the window. The photos and matting are attached to a thin backerboard and secured to the back of the frame with brass tacks. The original digital photos were printed from Snapfish. The New York taxman is relentless, so New York State residents will have to add 8% New York State sales tax so I won't have to go to jail. Due to the age of the window frame, there is a high probability that lead paint may be present. In order to maintain the authentic vintage appearance, no treatment has been applied over the existing surface. If you have pets or young children, it is recommended that you apply a clear sealant to the painted surfaces to stabilize the paint to prevent chips from falling off. Due to the size of the package and the fragile nature of the glass, this item will ship to the U.S. only, via priority or parcel post. | |||

The photos and matting are attached to a thin backerboard and secured to the back of the frame with brass tacks. The original digital photos were printed from Snapfish. | I have been using styrofoam packaging material to make art since 1978. I have collected it and received pieces from friends. I use the styrofoam just as it come from the package. All of the things I purchased have broken or been given away, but the styrofoam remains. I do not change the styrofoam or cut it in any way. I let the styrofoam tell me what to do with it. | What follows is just a sample of what I have done in the past few years . Ancient rock paintings, gothlic and Egyptian images are just a few of the sources that inspire the work. Unique compared to other papermaking techniques I strive to push beyond the typical applications for papermaking and casting. Recycled paper is molded to create paper sculptures using a multi-component mold system. All of these original pieces are made from recycled paper(old bills and junk mail):). Each was hand pressed and painted. By doing this it gives the pieces a worn leather, parchment look. Some of the pieces are framed by me and others are sold unframed 9"x 12". | Called "Carry My Heart With You", this piece is made from two wood scraps from a hanging rope shelf that have been joined to form a cross. It starts with a vintage rusty metal leaf crown, then a rusty metal heart enclosed in a wire cage surrounded by two small pencil crow drawings. The arm has an old brass key hole in the center, paper flowers and painted salvaged wood leaves. Below the arm has been embellished with wood heart pieces. old lace and pencil details. The bottom tip is wrapped with a used metal leaf mold. | |||

| The frame is made from bamboo I found in Merritt Island, Florida. I cut in half and attached it to wood. Gaps between the wood and bamboo were filled. The wood and the filler were painted with a custom mixed color to match the the bamboo. The mirror is 1/4 inch thick. | These magnets are made from plastic dividers that are usually used to compartmentalize tackle boxes etc. The plastic dividers were going to be disposed of by the owner, so I decided to rescue them and transform them into inspirational magnets. Each magnet is decoupaged on all sides with colorful Japanese inspired paper(they have the appearance of miniature gifts, which indeed they are), and embellished with an inspirational charm, glitter, etc. and coated with a gloss sealer for protection.
